Café de la Rosa

A place to enjoy delicious food and drink, whether you're resting your aching feet after a long night of dancing at the clubs or seeking respite from your adventures around Eorzea.

What we do, and why we do it

Cafe de la Rosa is a brand new cafe provided by the Eorzea Coffee Company FC (ECCo). Originally started as a spontaneous idea to open something akin to a maid cafe/speakeasy, this small cottage has instead transformed into a lovely cafe with a bar downstairs, complete with a stage for any brave enough to shine in the spotlights. The owner themselves wishes for the cafe to become a place where all can feel welcome, be they an RP veteran or a newbie dipping their toes in. The owner is a newbie too! So they hope they can practice while providing a space for others to enjoy themselves.

Jimmy Chimkin
(Mascot & Best Boy)One of the most memorable additions to our humble cafe. This little guy can be seen trailing behind the owner, or sometimes down at the bar. Give him a headpat if you see him!

Rei Izumi
(Owner)This viera is likely the face you'll see the most. They're a bit shy and new to RP, but will chatter the day away once you get them talking!

Yamato Orochi
(Part-time Bartender)Whether you're thirsty for something stronger than coffee, or just want to sit and talk for a while, Yamato's your guy. Our part-time bartender's got a listening ear and a knack for pouring drinks down in our basement bar.

Felli Antalk
(Part-timer)Felli may be a friendly face, but beware - She's not called the Boopinator for nothing. She'll help with anything you need, but if you challenge her, get ready for the boops. No seriously -- she'll boop you. On the nose. Repeatedly.

Yoi Nagamo
(Security & Fight Night Announcer)Our protector of Cafe de la Rosa makes sure our patrons stay safe during the daylight hours, and at night, they're our announcer for Fight Nights... if they're not in the ring themselves, that is.

Fenrir Feltside
(Part-time Bartender & Barista)Our newest addition to the cafe staff, this (self-proclaimed) undefeated champion of the ring may don a maid outfit, but don't let the frills fool you - Fenrir can serve up almost anything you can dream of down at the bar, too.

(Part-timer)Beware the Pumpkin man... he won't do anythin' to ya, he's just there.

How things work around here

It goes without saying that common courtesy applies, and we're all here to have a good time. All the owner asks is everyone respect one another and their boundaries, and we'll all get along just fine.Given that Cafe de la Rosa is a FC house that doubles as a venue, we ask that you do not go into the private rooms unless it is specified otherwise. The cafe and bar are open to all, (space permitting despite our cozy size) and we kindly ask any NSFW be kept to party/whispers. Mature content such as swearing and flirting are acceptable.Basically? Chill and have fun.

De la Rosa Fight Night Rules

- To start, both opponents will roll "/random 3" for rock, paper, scissors (1 = Rock, 2 = Paper, 3 = Scissors) -- Whoever wins will have initiative, AKA the first strike.- Grindstone Rule Set: Each round, both players will take turns - one person attacks, and the other counters; Both will roll /random 20 respectively.- Special Rules: We have a couple extra rules that will be explained before every match; First is the Counter - If the defender's roll is 10 or more than the attacker's, they will automatically counter, and receive a point. (Ex: Attacker rolls 5, while the Defender rolls a 15+ -- this means the Defender will counter, then roll for their attack turn.) Next is the Clash - If both fighters roll the EXACT same number, they will roll for Rock, Paper, Scissors (like how they did for initiative) and whoever wins the roll with receive the point. Whoever lands 3 hits first wins the match.- The time limit for each match will be 30 minutes. If time expires, and neither opponent has landed a winning blow, we will then move to sudden death -- each player will roll once more, and whoever rolls highest will automatically hit, therefore determining the winner of that match.- No murder-hoboing allowed -- Maiming or murder will not count, and you will be disqualified from the match and any others going forward. We’re all here to have fun, not kill each other -- However, we will usually have a healer on hand for any injuries sustained during the matches.
